This blog is all about finding healthy, clean recipes, delicious desserts, low calorie meals, snacks suitable for all occasions, beverages for any season, and most of all celebrating the variety and love vegetarian food has to offer both nutritionally and in flavor.
I grew up a multi-cultural kid, raised in Malaysia, with friends and family from all over the world. I currently live in my home country of Australia, but am in the midst of planning my next culinary adventure. I have explored many cuisines, but I have to say my favorite is definitely a tie between Indian, Thai and Malay food – dessert especially 😉
One of my absolute idols is Cassey Ho founder of Blogilates, she inspired me a year ago to began my health journey – not just a temporary weight loss period – but changing my habits and mindset. Cassey has a undeniable happiness and energy in everything she does, and I strive to one day be like her 🙂
I recently made the change to vegetarianism at the beginning of 2013, after deciding to make a healthier change in my life. I guess what I was looking for was to finally wake up and feel energized – not sluggish. In terms of diet, I have tried everything, from protein overloading to restricting my caloric intake to 500 a day. I can tell you right now – the word diet is completely inaccurate in association to weight loss. In order to truly reach your healthy weight and full capability, it requires a lifestyle change, not a 20 day starvation period or a new fad diet. I’m a firm believer in ditching the processed goods and swapping them for delicious, nutrient rich food. However, the occasional YOLO dessert is a must 😉
Vegetarianism has turned out to be one of the best decisions for my health, but if you aren’t convinced vegetarian food is any good, check out my recipes 🙂
